Webinar : Is Sourcing Local Better than Sourcing Overseas?

n December 31, 2012, a group of Asian-American executives and business owners established the Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ACE), a new national organization that gives a voice to the business interests of Asian American and Pacific Islanders.  It seeks to improve the economic, political, and social well-being of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) by encouraging the growth of existing AAPI entrepreneurs, advocating for AAPI businesses in Washington, D.C., fostering the next generation of AAPI entrepreneurs, and promoting the need for wider AAPI leadership in corporate America.

ACE’s mission is to serve as a strong advocate of AAPI business interests and effect positive change on all issues that enhance and advance the goals and aspirations of AAPI business owners, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders.  ACE strives to do this through supporting and promoting issues that impact the AAPI business community, improving the economic development and economic impact of the AAPI community, advancing coalitions and enhancing community building, and fostering the next generation of AAPI entrepreneurs and executives. ACE provides a unified voice for the business interests of AAPIs nationally.

ACE works to: 1) bring together the community by organizing, convening and cultivating relationships with AAPI Chambers of Commerce and business associations throughout the country; 2) foster AAPI executives and entrepreneurs by creating opportunities for their inclusion in economic opportunities and highlighting their accomplishments through awards and recognitions; 3) enhance the economic capabilities of the businesses by educating the community, extending contracting opportunities, and helping with access to capital; 4) improve the business environment by representing the voice of the AAPI business community in the nation’s capital at meetings with government leaders and representatives.
