The executive was then elected, and the new chair is Ryan Drouin, the manager of career development at Canadore College.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ryan has experience in understanding the needs and challenges of the local business community by working alongside employers in our district,&#8221; said a Chamber news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank my peers for having the confidence and electing me as Chair of the NBDCC Board of Directors,\u201d said Drouin.\u00a0\u201cI look forward to amplifying the voice of the business community and continue to work with the Board and staff to foster growth within our district.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The North Bay &amp; District Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with over 600 members that has been a business association in the region for over 125 years.<\/p>\n<p>Other members of the executive include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0Vice Chair Tanya Bedard \u2013 Tourism North Bay<\/li>\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0Vice Chair Jim Bruce \u2013 Average Joe\u2019s Eatery and La Huerta Imports<\/li>\n<li>Treasurer Melanie Rivard \u2013 Caisse Alliance<\/li>\n<li>Past Chair Natasha Penn \u2013 Karen Jones Consulting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other board members for 2023 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trevor Beard, Northeastern Ontario Tourism<\/li>\n<li>Liam Bowman, Cooper Equipment Rentals<\/li>\n<li>Steve Deacon, Deacon Wealth Management<\/li>\n<li>Carrie Girard, Ontario Northland<\/li>\n<li>Kennedy Horton, Futurpreneur (Young Professional Director)<\/li>\n<li>Deb Hudson \u2013 Burrows Country Store and Garden Centre<\/li>\n<li>LeeAnn Maille: &#8220;Yes, Employment Services.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Geoff Richardson: good riddance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rebecca McGlynn, Tessa Clermont, and Mike Harrison are among the board members who are leaving.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would like to thank our outgoing board members for their dedication to our Chamber and always looking at ways to make our business community resilient and grow,\u201d said Donna Backer, Interim President.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source : <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.baytoday.ca\/local-news\/chamber-of-commerce-elects-new-executive-6223501\">baytoday.ca<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2023 North Bay &amp; District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was sworn in last night by Mayor Peter Chirico, the group&#8217;s outgoing president.
