UAE, Dubai Dubai Chambers hosted a B2B business matching event at its headquarters in Dubai for a Canadian food and beverage trade mission. The event aimed to connect Canadian food and beverage companies with Dubai’s food and beverage industry representatives. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President & CEO of Dubai Chambers, and H.E. Radha Krishna Panday, Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, were in attendance.<\/p>\n
A total of 195 business matching meetings were held with Dubai stakeholders and companies, providing the Canadian trade mission with opportunities to collaborate and form partnerships that will unlock the potential of the food and beverage sector.<\/p>\n

The UAE government has increased its emphasis on food security in recent years in order to ensure that the economy remains competitive and is fully prepared to meet future challenges for the next 50 years.<\/p>\n
According to Euromonitor, the value of UAE consumer foodservice sales reached AED44.5 billion in 2021, up 16.4% from 2020. UAE consumer foodservice outlet sales are expected to reach AED 55 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 4.3%.<\/p>\n
The UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051 calls for the country to form international alliances to diversify food sources, to improve local food production with advanced technologies, and to enact legislation and policies to reduce food waste. The strategy provides investors with the assurance and policy stability they need to pursue long-term opportunities in the sector.<\/p>\n
