The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce has opened the second round of applications for its Rock Sold Fund grant program.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fund provides financial assistance to island-based small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two programs available under the Rock Solid Fund:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0General program<\/strong>: Grants are available to any small business that can show a need for financial support to enable the changes necessary for their business to operate safely in the 2021 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Member program<\/strong>: Grants are available to Nantucket Chamber members in good standing, to fund an innovative approach to stabilizing or<\/span>\u00a0growing their business as they recover from the COVID19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grants are to be used to offset the direct costs of innovating and\/or adapting business operations to allow for COVID-19 safety compliance. Examples of acceptable use of grant proceeds include but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Purchase or licensing of<\/span>\u00a0technology and consulting services to implement contactless ordering, payment processing, delivery or onsite customer service.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Planning and implementation of ways to safely manage customer access and traffic flow to and around offices, storefronts, restaurants, gyms, spas and hotel public spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Services and equipment\/ technology to transition meetings, events and tours from in-person to offsite or virtual attendance\/participation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Unique ways to market products or services when normal channels are limited.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Research\/planning for new products\/services to generate more revenue when existing<\/span>\u00a0offerings are less attractive to customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Technology\/services\/ equipment to enable customers to purchase and consume products off-premises.<\/span><\/p>\n
