The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce (MDCC) recently announced the launch of its extension of business support with the South Dade Branch. To celebrate, the MDCC hosted an event recently at the Town of Cutler Bay Community Room.<\/p>\n

The event had a standing-room-only crowd that was filled with business owners from throughout South Dade. Commissioner Kionne McGhee pledged over $13,000 to support the membership of all the businesses in the room. As a gesture of celebration, all businesses sealed their commitment to unity with a congratulatory toast of champagne.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe attendance validated the evidence that the Black Businesses in South-Dade were eagerly waiting for an opportunity of unification,\u201d said G. Eric Knowles, president and CEO of Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce. \u201cWe are forever grateful for Commissioner Kionne McGhee for his support and pledge toward the MDCC South Dade Branch.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiami is the hub of a lot of great things going on. This was an amazing and essential event for Black business owners throughout South Dade and beyond,\u201d said Roy Modkins, South-Dade MDCC chair. \u201cWhether it\u2019s Metaverse, Blockchain, or NTFS \u2014 let\u2019s make history!\u201d<\/p>\n

The South Dade Branch will work as an extension of MDCC by working to solve the unique needs of Black business owners. Additionally, the South Dade Branch will create an environment in the South Dade area that will include additional opportunities for inclusion, equity, and more instances of black excellency that uplift our culture.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1974, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce leads the way towards long-term business prosperity by providing advocacy, networking, resources, and training to men and women in business in South Florida.<\/p>\n
