Agbiz Grain, a fully-fledged and dedicated desk under the Agricultural Business Chamber (Agbiz), was established in November 2014 by the twelve largest commercial grain handling and storage companies in South Africa.

Activities within these forums are focused on addressing issues that create a better business environment for its members and the industry. Focus areas include infrastructure, agro-logistics, crop estimates, supply and demand estimates, grading regulations for whole grains and oilseeds, genetically modified organisms (GMO) legislation, developing training curriculums, facilitating industry training sessions and workshops, the latest legislation impacting on the grain storage and handling industry, the latest grain industry statistics and international liaison.
Personal development
Agbiz Grain is involved in the development of AgriSETA accredited industry-specific training and education programmes for all employees in the grain storage and handling industry. In addition, symposiums, seminars, workshops and informal networking offer opportunities for self-development and continuous improvement.
