About

Founded in 1958, the Association of Canadian Port Authorities brings together the 17 Canada Port Authorities and related marine interests into one national association.

ACPA is the champion and advocate for Canadian ports in matters related to government policy, trade, competitiveness, and public awareness, in order to contribute to a sustainable, clean, efficient, and reliable intermodal supply chain and transportation system.

To achieve its objectives, ACPA is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members from four regions – Pacific, Great Lakes, St. Lawrence, and Atlantic – while its day-to-day operations are carried out by a dedicated Ottawa-based team. The association also has numerous committees working on specific issues and matters on behalf of the Board and ACPA members.
