The Business Leaders Forum is an association of an economic nature created in October 2000 by business leaders, in order to contribute to the establishment of the spirit of enterprise within the national economy and to promote the interests of the Algerian company.
The association is open to private Algerian companies, foreign companies governed by Algerian law and public companies.
For the Business Leaders Forum, business development is the only appropriate way to organize a strong and lasting revival of growth, job creation and an effective fight against poverty. This is the reason why he demands that the company be placed at the center of all public economic policies.
The Forum brings together more than 5,000 companies at the end of 2018.
Many member companies are leaders in their industry. The main sectors covered (18 out of the 22 included in the national classification) are in particular those of the agro-food industries, construction materials, electrical and electronic industries, mechanical industries, pharmaceutical industries, paper and packaging, wood, public works and construction, mass distribution, etc.
The General Assembly is the deliberative body which brings together all the members. The General Assembly is charged
- To adopt the Statutes and the Rules of procedure of the Forum as well as their modification.
- To proceed with the election of the management body and its renewal.
- To adopt the decisions of the management body in terms of organization and territorial establishment.
- To approve the action plan and the related budget and decide on the moral and financial reports.
- To fix the amounts of the annual contributions.
- To appoint an auditor.
- To accept donations and national legacies accompanied by conditions and charges after having verified their compatibility with the goals assigned to the Forum.
- To approve the acquisitions of buildings.
- To award the title of Honorary President of the Forum.
