Created in December 1901, Consular Chamber of the Dahra Zone by the Union of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad, which had as its constituency the 4 Wilayas: Mostaganem, Mascara, Rélizane and Tiaret, and since then it has pleaded for the promotion of economic, commercial and industrial practices in its region,

In 1938, the Consular Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was built, the latter was the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry until today.

After independence, executive decrees followed in 1963, 1980 and 1987, notably confirmed the affiliation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the Algerian state, by modifying the French laws concerning the Algerian Chambers of Trade and designating their status.

The last executive decree of 1996, modified and supplemented by that of the year 2000, designating the name of the CCI, its roles and missions as well as its elected bodies.

The DAHRA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is a Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment [EPIC], placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce. To this end, it is the Direct Intermediary of economic operators with the Public Authorities and the only institution representing all professional categories;

The CCI DAHRA is notably a member of a network of national and international institutions.  

Objectives & Missions

The chambers assume a representative, advisory, administrative and economic expansion mission.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry contributes to growth and development through several missions:

  • The CCI defends the interests of companies in debates of an economic nature,
  • The CCI opens these doors to a better business environment, by setting up meetings between entrepreneurs,
  • Offers the opportunity to introduce your products and services to a vast network of business people.
  • The CCI is the permanent contact for companies for all their day-to-day or strategic concerns.
  • The CCI offers companies the latest commercial and economic information and advises them individually in many areas.
  • The CCI develops collective actions, through these initiatives in the organization of trade fairs, prospecting missions abroad, animation of professional groups, trade restructuring operations, promotion of business tourism and congresses…
  • The CCI sets up academic and professional training to meet the needs of companies for qualified personnel.
  • The CCI encourages the creation of businesses and their transmission through interviews, networking services, support and training.
  • It can also guide business creators towards appropriate financing.
  • In particular, it ensures the development of tourism, as well as any other sector, while fully respecting the principles of sustainable development.
  • Opportunity for Economic Operators to present their points of view on the means of developing economic activity and increasing the prosperity of trade, industry and services in their sector.
  • Perpetuate and propagate communication and information to all areas of Commerce and Industry.

The chamber may create a conciliation and arbitration institution with a view to intervening, at the request of the Operators, in the settlement of their national commercial disputes.
