Instructed and supported by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (hereinafter referred to as the Counsellor’s Office), Contact Office of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia (COCC) was established in March 2010. Since then, Chinese companies in the Kingdom began to unite.
COCC have been evolving and growing towards the aims of practicing governmental strategies, facilitating Sino-Saudi cooperation on economics and commerce and offering exclusive membership services. COCC have become reliable presence for the Counsellor’s Office, their member firms and Saudi governmental and commercial entities through their constantly fruitful and effective work.
Their membership is open for Chinese companies who have registered at the Counsellor’s Office. Currently, COCC have more than 80 member companies, whose business scopes range from engineering, contracting, energy, to telecommunication, machinery, investment, trade, logistics, and etc.
COCC are experiencing a new era in which the all-round strategic partnership between the two countries have been broadened and deepened, while China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative and Saudi’s “Vision 2030” have been intersecting with each other. They have and will continue to make commitment to the development of our member companies and of the long-term bilateral relationship.
Missions
- To strengthen intercommunications among members companies
- To enhance the communication and exchange between member companies and Saudi entities in industrial and commercial fields
- To expand economic and trade cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia while to protect the legitimate rights and interests of member companies
- To guide and coordinate legal operation and fair competition among member companies
