The Indian Business and Professional Council, Kuwait (IBPC) was established in the year 2001 under the patronage of the Ambassador of India to Kuwait with the main aim & objective of promoting business, trade, investment  between Kuwait & India.
IBPC is a non-profit, non-commercial and  a voluntary Assosiciation  of members drawn from the Indian diaspora community in Kuwait comprising of leading businessmen, senior corporate executives and professionals. Over the years IBPC has successfully established institutional linkage between the leading Chambers of Commerce and organizations from India such as ASSOCHAM, FICCI and CII and  Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industries. In addition IBPC has facilitated establishing direct links between various Indian companies  and  Kuwaiti companies & businessmen. To assist our objectives IBPC  invites  prominent Indian Industrialists, businessmen, economists and investment bankers and conducts investment seminars for the benefit of Kuwaiti businessmen and Indian diaspora. IBPC cooperates with the Embassy in holding expos and seminars promoting India’s tourism, Food exporters, construction companies, Fashion designers etc. Besides these activities IBPC also helps promote the rich traditional Indian culture to Kuwaitis by  organizing events and workshops featuring prominent Indian classical musicians and artists.
Over the years IBPC members have accompanied high level Kuwaiti delegations travelling to India including the Amir of Kuwait and later the Prime Minister of Kuwait and senior officials from Kuwaiti ministries.
IBPC  recognizes various issues concerning the Indian diaspora and its members offer generous support  to the various social and welfare causes. To encourgare  students at various Indian schools in Kuwait   IBPC recognizes  and honors the top student achievers and  counsel  students  in  further studies.
