The Indonesian Aviation Ticket Sales Association, which consists of Travel Agents from all over Indonesia, was founded on November 10, 1999, by 25 (twenty five) leaders of travel agents who have developed and established in Indonesia, including Mrs. Meity Robot from Iwata Tour, who at that time was also the Chairperson of ASITA. In addition, the establishment of ASTINDO also received support from the Minister of Culture and Tourism at that time which was being held by Mr. I Gde Ardika.
