ASTUIN (Indonesian Tuna Association) was established on November 8, 1997.
Our major purposes are:
-Ensuring Tuna business activities, ranging from Catching, Culturing, Processing, and Marketing
-Acting as a liaison between Tuna Entrepreneurs in Indonesia, the Indonesian government, and other national or international Tuna related Organisations
-Strengthening the endurance of Tuna Business while also taking the sustainability of the natural resources and other factors into account
ASTUIN members used to be only fishing companies and ship owners, but in 2004, the Processing and Marketing Divisions were established, thus opening more opportunity for membership.
