Industry and trade in the province of Konya entered the development process with the Development Plan Decisions taken during the Republican period. Konya Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1926 as a result of the efforts initiated to revive the life of industry and trade and to spread the conscious and systematic developments throughout the country.
