The Chamber’s mission is to promote and protect all aspects of Nebraska’s free enterprise system. Generally speaking, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry follows issues and legislation addressing five key areas:
- Taxes
- Job Creation
- Labor Law
- Economic Development
- Workforce
On these issues, the Nebraska Chamber plays a lead role at the Legislature every year since these issues impact our membership at large – regardless of business size or industry. When necessary, the State Chamber also becomes involved in other areas of policy-making, such as natural resources, energy, agribusiness, education and health care.
​   Moreover, the Nebraska Chamber’s affiliation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers gives our members more access to more information – allowing Nebraska’s business professionals to make their voice heard in Washington, as well as at the state level.
