SUSURLUK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Susurluk Chamber of Commerce; On 26/05/1994, by recruiting members registered in the name of Susurluk at the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, to meet the common needs of its members, to facilitate their professional activities, to ensure the development of the profession in accordance with their general interests, to ensure the honesty and trust in the relations of its members with each other and the public, to protect professional discipline, morality and solidarity, to contribute to the economic, social, cultural, educational, fine arts and administrative life of the district, to contribute to the life of the society In order to facilitate it, to shed light on local and state administrators, and to provide the necessary contributions, it was established as a professional and non-governmental organization in the nature of a public institution with legal personality subject to the special law established to fulfill the services written in the law subject to the Law No. 5590 (Organization Law No. 5174 today).

Between 1994 and 1999, it served with a single staff, started computerized service at the end of 1996, and switched to web-based online system under TOBB as of 01/01/2006.

In 1998, the land of our current service building was purchased, the projects were drawn at the end of 2001, the construction of our service building started on April 23, 2002, and our new service building was started in November 2002. During this time; Since its establishment, it has served as a tenant in Han Mah. Bandırma Cad. No: 12 and Han Mah. Belediye Cad. No: 11 Kat: 2.

Our service building consists of four normal and one basement floor; The basement floor serves as an archive, the ground floor as the Commodity Exchange, the first floor as the Chamber of Commerce, the second floor as the Şerafettin Tunalı Meeting and Conference Hall, and the third floor as a restaurant.

Our chamber, which prepares the infrastructure of the establishment of the Commodity Exchange due to our duties written in the law; By bringing together the chambers, non-governmental organizations, all political parties and public offices in our district and receiving their support, it has played a fundamental and active role in bringing the Commodity Exchange to our district. The Commodity Exchange, which is now actively working, is among the few stock exchanges in Turkey in terms of transaction volume. By allocating the ground floor of our service building to the Commodity Exchange, our Chamber ensured that the two institutions were together and provided the opportunity for healthy, coordinated work. The top floor of our service building has been arranged as a restaurant and our members have been allowed to relax in a healthy and decent environment.

Our institution; Apart from the duties written in the law, it has carried out relevant researches in the determination and solutions of the problems of our district, prepared its files and presented them to the relevant authorities and shed light on its solutions. Examples of these works are; Bandırma-Susurluk Highway construction, establishment of Vocational School, construction of Çataldağ Pond, construction of the Court House, establishment of Vocational Training School, provision of doctors’ shortages and installations of the hospital, meeting the basic needs of schools, contributions to sports activities (Susurluk Sports and school teams), food and clothing assistance to those in need, meeting the needs of other institutions and organizations, establishment of the Commodity Exchange, etc. Our Chamber has made these contributions within the resources it has received from TOBB and within its own budget possibilities.

Our Chamber is a strategically important partner of Büyük Anadolu Lojistik Organizasyon A.Ş., which has 93 partners and intermodel transportation (sectoral transportation) with scheduled block trains, and this company provides transportation of industrial and agricultural products grown in Anatolia to Europe through the railway network.

Our Chamber, established in partnership with 137 chambers and commodity exchanges, modernizes and operates the border gates of our country, Gümrük ve Turizm İşletmeleri Ticaret AŞ. partner.

Our Chamber has TSE EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and has been accredited in 2015 and has established the Integrated Management System by bringing the two systems together.

Our Chamber currently continues its activities with two permanent and two contracted personnel.

Professional committees form the basis of our chamber and work with eight professional committees.

Our chamber has a disciplinary board for the resolution of disputes between the members of our chamber and its members with other people. At the same time, the assembly board formed within the professional committees of our chamber has a board of directors formed within the professional group. Board of Directors; the execution of the activities of our chamber, the Assembly Board; It carries out the task of supervising the activities of the Board of Directors. Professional committees also take recommendations to the Assembly and the Board of Directors.

Together with the Accreditation System, an Accreditation Monitoring Board consisting of 5 people, including management and personnel, was established.
