Thai General Insurance Association was established on March 6, 1967 in the first name of “The General Insurance Association” by the merger of three trade associations which include an Association of Europe insurance companies in Thailand that based on the Association of the parent companies in the United Kingdom, the Chinese Insurance Association of Thailand and the Association of Insurers of Thailand. Mr. Vai Vatthanakul is the first president of the Association.
