The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (IEI) is a professional organization founded in the city of Bandung on May 23, 1952 [1] to bring together engineers or engineering graduates throughout Indonesia. The history of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) began on May 23, 1952 when Ir. H. Djoeanda Kartawidjaja and Prof. Ir. R. Roosseno Soerjohadikoesoemo gathered with his fellow Indonesian engineers in the West Hall, Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, Bandung (now ITB).
