The Malaysian Wood Moulding & Joinery Council (MWMJC) represents and promote the interests of the timber community in particular the moulding and joinery sector both nationally and internationally in such areas as governmental relations, international trade, industry relations, environmental, social and governance matters.

The moulding and joinery sector in Malaysia is in the process of transforming itself into a high value added, progressive and sustainable timber industry. MWMJC supports its members in a wide range of business functions from compliance to production, networking and marketing, while presenting a platform to link its members to potential business partners, experts in related fields which offer them the opportunity to learn from experts and peers. As a member-driven trade association, MWMJC is unique in the way its membership diversity lends itself to different perspectives and insights from the various complementary businesses within the woodworking industry.

MWMJC strongly advocates the nurturing and development of the next generation in the timber industry through various programmes in collaboration with the relevant government agencies, Malaysian Timber Council and Malaysian Timber Industry Board. It supports apprenticeship and training programmes and provides a platform and the means for its members to grow and succeed in the present and future competitive global economy.
