About The Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI)

The Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) opened its doors to businesses and companies doing business in the State when it was established and registered on 20th July 1951.

The objective of the Chamber is to promote commerce and industry amongst the diverse businesses in the State. The Chamber has established itself as the communication channel for member-businesses with the Government of Malaysia, Government of Sarawak and other Chamber of Commerce & Industries.

Regional Committees in Bintulu, Sibu, and Miri have been formed to better serve and reach members throughout Sarawak. At the national level, the Chamber connects members to the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI).

Internationally, the Chamber is an associate member of the Brunei-Indonesia MalaysiaPhilippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Business Council. The BIMP-EAGA represents a land area of 1.6 million square kilometres and a population of 57.5 million.

The Chamber also takes upon itself to establish good working relationship with consular representations in the state, such as with the Consulates General of China, Indonesia, and Negara Brunei Darussalam.

As such, the Chamber invites businesses and companies, including the Small and Medium Enterprises, to tap into the database and benefits of the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
