The Chamber prides itself on an inclusive orientation towards the Iranian-American business community. The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce is not affiliated with any government, receives no benefit from any government, and has no political agenda. The Chamber is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization registered in Washington, DC.
The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce has two operational divisions. The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce focuses on providing Chamber trade and legal expertise on Iran-related trade matters.
By specializing in services commonly designated for chambers of commerce, the United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce is able to keep its focus where it counts – on the many Iranian-American entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, and businesses that contribute to the economic fabric of the United States.
A Brief History
The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce was founded by a group of Iranian-Americans who had prominent community positions in the greater DC and Maryland area. Over time, the Chamber’s staff has included Iranian-Americans from all backgrounds and areas of expertise, including businesspersons, attorneys, and congressional employees.
Who We Serve / Our Services
The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce assists companies with understanding and following all U.S. laws and regulations pertaining to trade with Iran. The Chamber has attorney advisors experienced in sanctions compliance, as well as a broader legal referral network should you need assistance obtaining local counsel in your geographic area. The United States-Iran Chamber of Commerce can assist you on a one-time basis with a specific matter, or, depending on your needs, you may apply to become a member. Like many chambers of commerce, membership is available in tiers and membership dues are paid annually. Membership lasts for one year.
