Macao Chamber of Commerce awarded top honour at Business Awards of Macau

The Macao Chamber of Commerce (ACM) clinched the highest recognition at the 2025 edition of the Business Awards of Macau on Tuesday, with nearly 250 of the city’s business elite gathering to celebrate the achievements of 34 awardees.

Frederico Ma, president of ACM’s Board of Directors, received the Grand Merit on behalf of the Chamber—a body established in 1913 to represent the city’s Chinese business interests.

“This award is not only an honour for the association, but it also reflects collective efforts toward the adequate diversification of Macau,” said Ma.

“All of us here have contributed to the city’s prosperity.”

The chamber has 180 member organisations and maintains links with around 3,000 enterprises.

The gold award in entrepreneurship went to Seng Fung Jewellery, whose general manager, Lee Koi Ian, told the awards ceremony that this recognition acknowledges the “endeavours built across three generations” and vowed to further cultivate the development of the gold and jewellery trade.

The homegrown company conducts all its research and development work in Zhuhai, while Shenzhen is responsible for the production line.

Meanwhile, it taps into Hong Kong’s role to advance procurement development.

Billy Kuok, a board director of Bamu Group, took the stage to accept the gold award for young entrepreneurs.

“This award demonstrates the combined efforts of my team, and I would like to dedicate it to them,” he said.

Kuok co-founded Bamu in 2023, with the bakery brand expanding to include desserts, coffee, ice cream, and catering—scattered across the city.

Hortalicas Meng Kei received the gold award for small and medium enterprises, with the brand founded in 2020.

Representative Chan Chi Cheong pledged to continue “moving forward to launch new products” for “more convenient shopping experiences” in the city.
