Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shane Adams recognized with Ally Award
Shelby Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Shane Adams accepted the executive director position and moved to Shelby in January of 2023 and since then he has done an outstanding job of organizing the traditional events- the Chamber Banquet and Christmas Stroll, to name a couple, to adding new events geared towards bringing the community together, such as The Zombie Fun Run and the Suicide Awareness Color Run.
Not only has Shane dedicated many hours to his community, but he also has expanded the Chamber’s membership, reaching out to new businesses and hosting ribbon cutting ceremonies, welcoming them to the community. He works in conjunction with the other Chambers in the area, attending all the Chamber banquets and other events, while also inviting them to join in ours. This past spring alone he not only organized the Shelby Chamber Banquet, but did it while also attending the Chamber Banquets in Liberty County, Conrad and Cut Bank.
He volunteers hours of his time in regards to helping plan events and diligently watering the flowers on Shelby’s Main Street, seven days a week. He is on the TBID board and has created other boards within the Chamber for planning purposes, such as the All Class Reunion committee. Shane also attends various meetings throughout the state, including being a member of the Great Falls Development Advancement (GFDA) organization.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed. Recently Shane was recognized with the Great Falls Development Advancement Ally Award. The Ally Award was established in 2023 and is “designed to honor exceptional individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and support to our team’s efforts. It celebrates those who have gone above and beyond in their contributions, showcasing dedication not only to our collective objectives and clients but also to the advancement of our mission and the overall enhancement of our work. This award reflects our appreciation for the support and commitment that these outstanding members bring to our organization, helping to drive forward our initiatives and strengthen the core of our mission. The creation of the Ally Award marks a commitment to acknowledging the remarkable efforts of those who play a pivotal role in our success, serving as a testament to the power of collaboration and support within our community.”
Shane was presented with this award at the GFDA annual meeting, the only person in the surrounding area to receive one. This award is well-deserved as Shane is not only an advocate for the Shelby community, but all of Toole County and the surrounding area. His dedication surpasses expectations and he truly is an invaluable asset.
“I’m just doing my job the best I can to better serve Shelby and Toole County,” said Shane. “Working with local community members, partners and other organizations in the whole area is all part of making Shelby and Toole County a better place to do business and a better place to live for everyone.”
