A 10-member delegation from the Indian Chamber of Commerce met with the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (Beza) to discuss investment in Bangladesh’s economic zones.
According to a press release, the meeting, presided over by Beza Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Haroon, investigated investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
The meeting was attended by India Chamber of Commerce President NG Khaitan and Bangladesh Chamber of Industries President Anwar Ul Alam Chowdhury, among other high-ranking officials.
In the meeting, Mohammad Hasan Arif, General Manager (Administration) of Beza, presented a powerpoint presentation on Beza’s overall activities.

NG Khaitan, the delegation’s leader, stated that he believes Bangladesh will be able to establish fast connections with other South Asian countries through economic zones.
He stated that there are more chances for fruitful discussions in this area.
The Indian delegation has already met with the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, and Dhaka’s leading business organizations during its four-day visit.
