The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has established a Regional Connectivity Desk in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Eco-civilization Research and Development (AIERD).

The trading desk’s mission is to provide information for trade promotion, networking, business-to-business (B2B) and networking at the Chamber of Commerce level in Azerbaijan and the five Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

H.E. Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Khizr Farhadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Yerzhan Kistafan, Ambassador of Tajikistan, Asmatullah Nasreddin, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Olenbek Tutoyev, and Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Aybak Arif Osmanov attended the desk opening ceremony.

Former presidents, executive committee members, and chamber members attended the event, as did Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Saqib Rafiq, Group Leader Sohail Altaf, Chairman AIERD Zahid Latif Khan, Haripur Chamber President Tayyab Swati, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Senior Vice President Muhammad Hamza Sarosh, Vice President Faisal Shahzad, and former presidents, executive committee members, and chamber members.

In their speeches, the speakers and ambassadors discussed trade and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and five Central Asian countries.

The promotion of trade opportunities in various sectors, including tourism, religious visits, energy, and pharmaceuticals, was also discussed.

They also emphasized the importance of streamlining payment channels and visa-issuance procedures, as well as promoting direct flights. Following that, the ambassadors were briefed at the Trade Desk.
