The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Dubai Chamber of Commerce CSR Label to 28 companies for their exceptional CSR efforts in the first half of 2022.

The Chamber recently held a ceremony at its headquarters to highlight the companies’ achievements in corporate social responsibility (CSR), which was attended by representatives from the recognized organizations. Eleven companies received the Dubai Chamber of Commerce CSR Label, six companies received the Dubai Chamber of Commerce Advanced CSR Label, and 11 companies received SMART CSR Labels. Since the program’s inception in 2010, the Chamber has awarded 614 labels to businesses.

Alpen Capital was honored for the 11th time, and BESIX Construct, Majid Al Futtaim, Canon Middle East, and Union Coop were honored for the 10th time. Majid Al Futtaim was honored for the fifth time in the Advanced category, while Canon Middle East was honored for the third time in the Advanced category.

Horeca Trade received the award for the ninth time; TIME Hotels received it for the eighth time; CHEP Middle East and DULSCO received it for the seventh time; and Clyde & Co received it for the fifth time.

Aster DM Healthcare and Align on Demand Labors Supply Services were honored for the fourth time, and Aster DM Healthcare was honored for the first time in the Advanced category. ENGIE Middle East, Asia & Africa, HP, and Transworld Group were all recognized for the third time; ENGIE Middle East, Asia & Africa was recognized for the third time in the Advanced category, and Transworld Group was recognized for the second time. Emirates NBD and Al Naboodah Group Enterprises were both honored for the second time, while Al Naboodah Group Enterprises was honored for the first time in the Advanced category.

The SMART CSR Labels were awarded to ARASCA Medical Equipment Trading, Century Financial, China Mobile International Middle East, DVS Management Consultancy, Envision Partnership, G Industries, Hunter Foods, Linxon Gulf, Nefsy, Nets International, and YES Full Circle Waste Collection and Treatment in various categories.

In his remarks, Hassan Al Hashemi, Acting President & CEO of Dubai Chambers, congratulated all of the awardees and praised their strong commitment and efforts to CSR and sustainability, noting that they are leaders in the field in terms of CSR leadership.

“The Dubai Chamber of Commerce CSR Label was created as a framework and development tool to help companies evaluate their CSR strategies, gain recognition for their efforts and improve their reputation. The Chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business works hand in hand with businesses to support them integrate CSR and sustainability into their business operations,” Al Hashemi added

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), established in 2004, is the UAE’s first institution of its kind, playing a leading role in promoting corporate social responsibility. The Centre encourages Chamber member companies to adopt responsible business practices, which ultimately improves their performance and competitiveness.
