Mohamed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Liselott Anderson, ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the UAE, discussed bilateral relations between the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as ways to strengthen collaboration, particularly in the investment field.
The meeting was held on Wednesday at the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Chamber of Commerce Headquarters in the presence of Mohamed Al Sabab, director-general of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Chamber, and Eman Al Hayyas, assistant director-general of the Commercial Services and Business Development Sector, as well as members of the embassy and representatives of Swedish companies in the UAE.
Al Nuaimi emphasized the RAK Chamber’s plans to attract and enable investments, as well as the key investment opportunities in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in collaboration with all relevant departments in the Emirate.
He also discussed legislative reforms in the UAE aimed at maintaining a competitive investment environment in line with the highest international standards for the simplification of investment procedures. He emphasized that these meetings, which take place on a regular basis, are in line with the leadership vision, which aims to strengthen international partnerships, create investment opportunities in key sectors, and develop sustainable industrial and economic sectors.
Al Nuaimi invited businessmen, companies, and corporations in the Kingdom of Sweden to take advantage of the UAE’s potential, opportunities, and investment environment, particularly in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. He mentioned that industrial investment opportunities include petrochemicals, metals, pharmaceuticals, food, electrical and medical equipment, agriculture, clean energy, defense, and aerospace.
Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of developing initiatives to promote and increase trade delegation meetings, inviting companies and businessmen from the Kingdom of Sweden to visit the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and learn more about the business environment and investment opportunities, as well as to explore collaboration opportunities between Emirati companies, given the shared interest in enhancing bilateral relations and increasing the volume of business.
Liselott Anderson expressed her pleasure at visiting the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasizing that this visit completes the UAE and Sweden’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and to forge new vital paths to advance cooperation and investment, particularly the UAE and Sweden relations, which have seen significant growth in trade and investment, and they seek to capitalize on this momentum to strengthen economic collaboration.
