This summer, local business owners got down to business and began to network and work together with other influential people in Nutley to accomplish their goals.
As new and departed businesses converged at the Nutley Chamber of Commerce, the summer of 2022 will be remembered for many things, including the Nutley Renaissance. In August, there were 100 members of the organization, and more are anticipated to join in the coming months.
32 new members or renewals to existing members of the chamber were made throughout the summer. Nine people joined the Nutley Chamber of Commerce in August, a month when there was not a lot going on in the community previously.

The chamber’s next event is held in the middle of the month while everyone is preoccupied with back-to-school and covering their pool.
The regular meeting of the NCOC will be held at noon on Thursday, September 15, at Luna Wood Fire Tavern on Franklin Avenue. The following mixer is held at Gary Marino’s office on the corner of Chestnut Street and Passaic Avenue at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, a week after the previous one.
The monthly luncheon will be held at the Nutley Family Service Bureau in October. There isn’t a setup for the October mixer yet. Kevin Knight, the “assistant everything” at NCOC, thinks this is a fantastic chance for a nearby company to volunteer to host the event.
The annual Thanksgiving luncheon is held in November and is prepared by the culinary program students at Nutley High School. The most attended chamber meeting of the year is always that one. The 2022 Thanksgiving event, which was put on hold for two years due to COVID-19, is expected to draw a large crowd. Once known, information on the luncheon’s date, time, and cost will be shared.
When Santa Claus arrives in town in November, you had better be careful and try not to cry. As part of the #ShopLocal season, Santa will make an appearance by helicopter at the Nutley Park Oval on Friday, November 25.
Then, on Saturday, November 26, Small Business Saturday happens all over the township, making it Nutley’s biggest #shoplocal event. Rob and Joyce Noone, owners of Pretty Handy Gift Shop and Maker Space, have been organizing this popular event in Nutley since 2019 and will do so once more.
We’re all going to gather for a holiday dinner at Mamma’s in December. The annual holiday dinner will once again be hosted by Nella and the staff of Mamma Vittoria. As information comes to light, it will be disclosed.
