Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce has announced three new appointments to its board of directors. Andrew Silley, Mike Greene, and Steve Dighton are the most recent additions to the board.
Andrew is a co-founder of the ST1 Group and has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years. ST1 Group Ltd offers construction industry services such as chartered quantity surveying, project management, and expert legal support. He will preside over the Fenland Chamber’s committee.
Steve is the Group Business Development Manager at Breheney Civil Engineering in Huntingdon.
Breheny is one of the UK’s largest family-owned civil engineering firms, having been named to NCE Magazine’s Top 100 Civil Engineering Companies list in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He will be the Construction & Property Sector Group’s chair.
Mike is a serial entrepreneur, mentor, investor, TV personality, and director of numerous businesses whose journey to multi-million-pound wealth began when he was seven years old as a paper boy.
Mike went on to establish a multi-million pound international business and was featured on Channel 4’s ‘Secret Millionaire.’ Mike will preside over the Peterborough and Stamford Chamber committee.
Chair of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, Brian Jones, said: “I am excited about the future of the Chambers of Commerce across the region.
“I am delighted to have three new directors who bring a formidable set of talent and experience along with an impressive set of skills and local insights to what is already a very strong board.
“As well as their business and leadership experience, Andrew (Fenland) and Mike (Peterborough and Stamford) bring fantastic local knowledge, with Steve bringing extensive expertise in the construction sector.”
The new board members have assumed committee chair positions with immediate effect. They will lead their committees in discussions and lobbying activities pertaining to local businesses, as well as represent them on the board of directors of the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce.
