Chambers Lays Out Economic Development Plan for Indiana

Gubernatorial hopeful Brad Chambers aims to distinguish himself from a crowded field of Republican contenders by championing his defense of the contentious LEAP District. With six GOP candidates vying for the May primary ballot to succeed Gov. Eric Holcomb, who is term-limited, the winner is expected to have a strong advantage against Democratic and Libertarian rivals in the general election.

Chambers, a former chair of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. and a successful businessman, has released a comprehensive economic policy plan, seeking to shift the focus away from recent attack lines and towards substantive policy discussions. Despite criticism over the LEAP District and water pipeline plans, Chambers remains steadfast in his commitment to completing the project and leveraging it for economic growth, emphasizing the importance of high-wage careers and keeping future generations in Indiana. However, lingering distrust from past controversies may pose challenges for Chambers in gaining widespread trust and support among voters.
