Our Profile

About Us :

The Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ARABCCI) was established in Hong Kong 2006 as a leading organization at promoting commercial ties between Hong Kong/Greater China and the Arab World. From a base of 8 founding member companies, ARABCCI has now evolved to include an ever-growing number of members. The Chamber is run by business experts for business professionals, dedicated to opening enormous trade opportunities by providing extensive information and professional services to our members.

Economic cooperation is the main focus of the overall bilateral relations between the Arab World and Hong Kong/Greater China. Our vital platform provides more than trade links to develop business, it promotes essential understanding.

Our Objectives :

The objectives of ARABCCI are to promote and expand relations between Hong Kong/Greater China and Arab countries, more particularly :

To coordinate, develop and facilitate commercial, industrial and financial relations by identifying on reciprocal basis their economic potential;
To improve and extend opportunities for industrial and technical co-operation, in close collaboration with private and public sector organizations with similar objectives;
To encourage the transfer of technology, professional training and the creation of joint ventures in industry and agriculture;
To provide information and unqualified advice, at the request of the members;
To offer on request our facilities for Amicable Dispute Resolution;
To supply information, with the help of competent authorities, on tourism, cultural, scientific and artistic possibilities in the Arab World and Hong Kong/Greater China.

ARABCCI is independent of government and has a financial foundation of voluntary subscriptions and fees from professional business services. Every penny the Chamber raises is put back into the Society to provide even better services and wider representations throughout the Arab World and Hong Kong/Greater China.

The Council is the Executive Board, assuring the overall management of The Chamber. It prepares the work of the General Meeting and sees that its decisions are properly carried out. The functions and responsibilities of the Council are derived primarily from the Constitution, rules and directives laid down at General Meetings. The Council consists of a President, first and second Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary and three Councilors. Every year the General Meeting assigns specific tasks to the Council. Other functions stem from agreements concluded between the Chamber and specialized agencies and other intergovernmental organizations.
