ABOUT THE CECC

China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC) is founded in 1988 and now registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of P. R. China, who is a corporate organization of electronic industry incorporated on a voluntary basis with companies, groups, and industry organizations engaging in the production, distribution, research of electronic products. With the independent corporate status, CECC is under the guidance of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of P. R. China on its business development. The supreme authority of CECC is Members’ Congress, the General Council. CECC provides general service and business support to more than 8,000 members through its 8 systems, 9 platforms, 10 departments, 6 affiliated industry alliances, 23 professional committees and 21 local chambers.

As an important member of World Electronic Forum (WEF), CECC maintains close cooperation and good business relations with worldwide electronics associations of commerce, associations and government agencies such as EIA-Electronic Industry Alliance(US), CTA-Consumer Technology Association(US), JEITA-Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association(Japan), KEA-Korean Electronics Association(South Korea), JADMA-Japan Direct Marketing Association(Japan), U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Germany Trade and Investment and so on.

The major purposes of CECC are: sticking to the policy of reform and opening-up; implementing regulations and policies and the continuous growth of domestic and international trade in line with the principle of developing the socialist market economy in China; enhancing the economic strength of the members, expanding the social influence of CECC; protecting legal rights and interests of the members and fostering a favorable market environment for the production and operation of the electronic information industry.

The major tasks of CECC are: playing the role of an intermediary between the government departments and CECC members; safeguarding the rights and interests of the members; duly reflecting opinions and demands of the members to the governments; coordinating the interests among the members; helping the members to promote their products; eliminating vicious competitions; transmitting the regulations and policies of the government; assisting the government in guiding, coordinating as well as providing consultations and services in the operation and sales of electronic information products; supervising the members in correctly implementing laws and regulations formulated by the state.
