The Delegation of German Business in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) is a representation of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in the above-mentioned AHK network, which actively promotes economic exchange between Vietnam and Germany.
AHKs combine three functions at their locations.
1. Official representations of the German economy
The AHKs are the central players in German foreign trade promotion on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. You represent German business interests in your host countries. They provide information and promote Germany as a business location.
2. Business service providers
The AHKs offer companies from Germany and from the host country services to support their foreign trade activities under the service brand “DEinternational”.
3. Member organizations (The Representation in Vietnam is not yet a member organization)
The AHKs gather around them the companies that are active in bilateral economic relations. These members give the AHK weight and voice when it appears in politics, business and administration to promote bilateral economic relations.

Due to the dual presence in Vietnam’s two most economically important cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the AHK Vietnam offers German companies comprehensive advice and support on site with a competent team of Vietnamese and German employees.
Every year, the AHK Vietnam supports more than 700 companies, among other things, with initial information, in finding customers, suppliers and investment locations as well as the collection of market information. It organizes around 10 business delegation trips a year. The AHK Vietnam is also the representative of the Berlin, Düsseldorf, Nuremberg trade fairs and the Nuremberg Toy Fair. The states of Bavaria, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein are also represented here. Finally, the AHK Vietnam is currently implementing projects in dual vocational training and in the recognition of foreign professional qualifications. It cooperates closely with the “German Business Association Vietnam”, which represents more than 220, mostly German, companies as local members.
