After the Republican period, ETO, which was previously affiliated to Ankara, continued its activities independently. With the development of industry in the city, EskiÅŸehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry expanded its field of activity, in 1968 at the request of industrialists, the Chamber’s consent and with the permission of the Ministry of Commerce allowed the establishment of the Chamber of Industry. After that date, the name of the room was changed to EskiÅŸehir Chamber of Commerce.
A common feature of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the world is that they come together in a national, centralized top organization. Examples of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey in our country are Union.
