The German Chambers of Industry and Commerce Abroad
At 140 locations in 92 countries worldwide, the Network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) – consisting of bilateral chambers of commerce abroad, delegations and representative offices of the German economy – offers its experience, connections and services to German and foreign companies. AHKs are member organizations with around 45,000 member companies worldwide and at the same time links between cultures, each with two mentalities in several languages at home.
The German-Iranian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Iran) is complemented by the Delegation of German Business in Iran, which is funded on a pro-rata basis by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag. Both are located under one roof and are managed in personal union.
In Germany, they are closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). Thanks to the good cooperation between the two structures at home and abroad, company enquiries can be processed directly by local experts and answered with market-oriented solutions.
The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK e.V.) in Berlin, which also coordinates and supports the AHK network.
