Founded in 1984, the IACE is an economic think tank, working to promote the private sector. The January 14 revolution enabled the IACE to fully play its role as a think tank, focusing on advocacy, adopting it as its main mission.

A THINK TANK

As an economic think tank, the IACE carries out work to produce and promote innovative ideas, the ambition of which is to work towards a better business environment, the focus of economic development. To do this, the IACE develops proposals and recommendations by mobilizing a network of multidisciplinary experts. These are debated through its publications and various forms of events.

A laboratory of ideas where a variety of players get involved: business leaders, experts, researchers, politicians, the IACE creates bridges of understanding between the public and private sectors.

In a context of democratic consolidation where the government faces serious problems with its capacity to govern, the IACE strives to broaden the debate on public policies and foster the growth of the private sector; to fulfill mainly a mission of scouting, by providing an analysis on current issues, by proposing concrete avenues for improvement and by revealing in a prospective manner the challenges to be taken up by the country.

The IACE finds its raison d’être in the conviction that the private sector, through the strength and dynamics of its businesses, is the engine of economic and social progress. At a time when we are rethinking the factors of development, it is vital and urgent to place the company at the heart of our concerns.

To carry out its studies and develop its proposals, the IACE mobilizes a vast network of experts, academics, economists, political scientists, business leaders and senior civil servants. The dissemination of his ideas is based on the regular publication of reports, notes, indices and the publication of books.
