Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Association (MTMA) is recognised national representative body for Textile and Apparel Industry in Malaysia.

MTMA has been reference organisation to nationwide in gathering information , trade opportunity, talent development , government policy and other matters related to Textile and Apparel industry.

Representing the whole sectors and supply chain involving in Textile and Apparel manufacturing comprised of MNS, Large Local and SMEs covering fibre, spinning, weaving, knitting, garment-making and  industrial textile/accessories sectors

OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of MTMA is to protect and promote the interests of its members.

Specifically, the objectives are: –

  1. To encourage, promote and protect the interests of textile manufacturers including cottage industries.
  2. To afford facilities for the communication and interchange of views between textile manufacturers and the governments, government departments and public bodies and institutions and associations.
  3. To promote legislation for the improvement of the standing of textile manufactures and to promote, support or oppose alternations to existing textile laws or proposed textile legislation and to effect improvements in administration.
  4. To assist the textile and apparel industry to increase productivity and business efficiency.
  5. To act as a spokesman for the textile and apparel manufacturing sector in its liaison with the government, private sector bodies and other relevant institution.
  6. To assist the textile and apparel industry to increase productivity and business efficiency.
  7. To provide a focal point for its members to meet, discuss and solve common problems.
  8. To obtain and disseminate relevant information to members.
  9. To undertake other activities beneficial to members.
