OQ’s investments in major growth projects from the exploration and extraction of oil and gas to expanding our polymer capabilities allow us to make more possible. Among our planned advances is to increase crude oil processing capability by 230,000 barrels per day through our Duqm facilty when it reaches full operational capacity. This will bring our total production capacity up to 528,000 barrels per day. Our global trading supply chain, comprising both OQ and third-party sources, include crude oil, refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, LNG and dry bulk. OQ Supply & Trading’s refined petroleum products portfolio includes gasoline and gasoline components, naphtha, middle distillates, liquified petroleum gas (LPG) and fuel oil.
Our operations are supported by a global network of trading offices located in major oil trading regions. Our experience and understanding of oil markets enable us to offer valuable support and implement structured transactions for our customers.
OQ’s state of the art production facilities include a first for Oman, Polyethylene. With plant capacities of 440KTPA of Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and a 440KTPA High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). The current 320KTPA Polypropylene facilities complemented by a 300KTPA Polypropylene production unit capable of producing Homopolymers as well as random and impact copolymers. The resulting product mix diversity helps OQ’s partners address the growing global demand for innovative polymers across a wide range of industries and applications.
As a leading manufacturer of oxo chemicals, our chemicals are important ingredients in products that in daily life around the world. Our integrated company offers our customers a well-matched product portfolio and bespoke solutions along the entire value chain of chemical products.
Our Duqm Refinery and Petrochemicals Cluster also represents a significant investment in optimising Oman’s upstream capacity. Our agility as an end-to-end energy giant and long-term goals are solidified by key regional and international partnerships and acquisitions, as well as a robust retail and global trading network.
Helping our partners and customers meet sustainability regulations of an increasingly demanding market is OQ’s Alternative Energy unit’s focus. We are continually pushing the boundaries of efficiency by exploring optimisation opportunities with green hydrogen, synthetic fuels, and green methanol.
