The Sarikei Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1932. Recalling the personal sponsorship of the founder Lin Shaoru, the doctor, was alone in preparation for the work. I thought that my members would never forget. At the same time, there would be no address and renting a house. When Mr. Qiu Bingnong became the president, he started to build a clubhouse. The construction cost was half donated by the members, and half of the goods were collected. After several hardships, it was built in 1939. In the 1940s, the Emperor’s Club was the only magnificent overseas product of the state. On the forehead, the inscription of the “Sarawaky Likui Chinese Chamber of Commerce” was written by Lin Sen, the chairman of the Chinese state government.
