Introduction & Objectives
The Sri Lanka – Australia Business Council, affiliated to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in December 1994 and is the 17th Bilateral Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The Council was renamed as the Sri Lanka – Australia – New Zealand Business Council at the Annual General Meeting of the Council held on July 31, 2001. The Business Council has continued to be an important link between Sri Lanka & Australia and Sri Lanka & New Zealand.

– To promote Bilateral Trade, Investment, Technical & Economic Co – Operation, Tourism and Services between Sri Lanka Australia and Sri Lanka & New Zealand
– To encourage the establishment of Joint Ventures in Sri Lanka
– To exchange information on trade and investment with the appropriate bodies in Australia and New Zealand.
– To conduct joint meetings in Sri Lanka and in Australia and in New Zealand
– To serve as a recognized representatives of business sector interests in Sri Lanka in matters concerning business relationship with Australia and with New Zealand
– To co-operate with the government of Sri Lanka in the pursuit of the above objectives
