Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) is an apex organization for women economic empowerment in Tanzania. TWCC was established in 2005 as a membership based organization whose mission is to empower and advocate for the growth of women’s businesses.

The Chamber has more than 10,000 members from all sectors of the economy which comprises 27 Regional Chapters (Branches) in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, 14 Women Sectoral Cluster Associations, Cooperatives, Companies, Group businesses, Sole-Proprietors and 11 Platforms for Women in Cross-Border Trade.

The Chamber’s objective is to bring women entrepreneurs from all walks of life together, including those in the informal sector, in order to encourage their growth and fight poverty amongst women.

TWCC serves more than 1 million women across the country through Information Sharing, Capacity Building/Training, Marketing: facilitation of women access to markets and other Business Value Added Services. TWCC works with both private and public sector organizations in assisting and providing the necessary support and guidance to youths and  women in business, and in advocating for favorable policies in which their enterprises can flourish.

TWCC works in close collaboration with the Government and provides a direct link between the Government and women entrepreneurs in Tanzania. TWCC is also a member of several apex business associations at national and regional levels. These are such as: Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), East African Women in Business Platform (EAWiBP) and African Women Business Association Network.
