About The France Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Presentation of the room

Founded in 1998 at the instigation of eight French entrepreneurs, the Franco-Cambodian Business Club is initially a place of meetings and exchanges , an opportunity to share resources and experiences. Very quickly, the Club’s enthusiasm and dynamism won over the entire French-speaking business community. In November 2000, with around fifty members after only two years of existence, the Club renamed itself the Franco-Cambodian Chamber of Commerce . It was by becoming a bi-national structure five years later that the CCFC took the name of CCIFC (Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Cambodia).

Our members (companies, NGOs or international organizations) reflect the entire economic and social landscape of Cambodia in multiple sectors of activity such as hotels, IT, automotive, medical sector. Thus, the CCIFC quickly made a commitment in favor of employment with the “Annual Career Forum” aimed at bringing together companies, recruiters and job seekers until the local economic environment meets the needs of employers (2013-2014).

Since 2002, the CCIFC has been part of the Union of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abroad (CCI Internationale) . This global network, made up of 123 Chambers in 92 countries, represents more than 35,000 member companies (50% of which are foreign) and is the leading private network of French companies in the world.

In 2011, the CCIFC chose to co-found, with its German and British peers, the European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia , also known as EUROCHAM , and to overhaul its principles of governance in order to pool and coordinate resources and actions within of EuroCham , particularly in the area of business support services. The CCIFC is also active within the EuroCham Working Groups to promote contact between the private sector and the Government and thus encourage business development in Cambodia.
