| The Association was established in 1932. The founding members mainly consisted businessmen in the bicycle trade. As Singapore became more developed and prosperous, however, motor vehicles and other much advanced forms of transportation replaced bicycles and trishaws as the main modes of transportation. As a result, members of the Association are now mainly dealers of motor vehicle parts and accessories. |
