Vietnam’s vegetable and fruit area is 1,685,000 ha, of which 910,000 ha and 775,000 ha are fruits with an annual output of 17,653,100 tons. In particular, 10,969,300 tons of vegetables, 6.5 million tons of fruit (2007 data of the Department of Crop Production Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development). Every year Vietnam exports about US $ 300 million of fruits and vegetables to over 30 Asian markets, Europe and North America. Vietnamese vegetables and fruits are tropical, delicious and rare vegetables, grown only in Vietnam and a few neighboring countries of Vietnam (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia) such as mango, dragon fruit, breast milk, longan, Durian, rambutan, mangosteen, .. some vegetables.
