District Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Lahan Siraha
Located in the south of Purvachal Development Zone, Sirha district has Saptari in the east, Dhanusha in the west, Udaipur in the north and Bihar state in the south. This district is separated by natural boundaries. Balan River in the East, Kamala River in the West, Chure Mountains in the North and India in the South. Siraha district is at an altitude of 69 meters to 85 meters above sea level. Its East West Lamwai Salakhalada is 38.8 km. and 28.8 km from north to south. The main rivers of the district are Blan, Kamala, Gagan, Mainabati and Khuti and Mutni and all of them mostly flow in the north-south direction. The main agricultural products are rice, wheat, corn, mango, banana, lychee, vegetables and Khasi goats.
Statement of Corporate Assets
The secretariat is operating in its own building located in Ward No.-7 of District Sirha Lahan Municipality. There are four rooms and a meeting hall in the ground floor building on 0-2-10 dhur land of the association. The material assets are table, chair, drawer, sofa set, computer, fax, printer, photocopier, CCTV camera connection.
Activities/service of Industry Commerce Association
The District Industry and Commerce Association has been playing a leading role in providing business services and social activities as well as helping those affected by daily calamities. The association has been continuously helping those affected by fires, earthquakes, storms and floods. Apart from this, it has been providing the following services:
(1) Firm registration
(2) PAN, VAT registration related services
(3) Tax filing and tax related services
(4) Acting as an intermediary between banks and businessmen.
(5) Assisting in the development of small towns in coordination with various associations and organizations.
(6) Taking initiative to solve the problems faced by businessmen.
(7) The Government of Nepal has given information to the industrial businesses from time to time about the policy rules related to business tax.
(8) Providing training to industrialists from time to time.
