New SEMO president to speak at chamber event

Local chambers of commerce are hosting a variety of events for area business professionals to attend.

• Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its July Business After Hours at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Beverly Koehler Bookkeeping, 520 S. Hope St. in Jackson.

• Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce is having a Young Professionals of Cape Area open social at the 6:30 p.m. Cape Catfish game Wednesday, July 9, at Capaha Field, 627 Capaha Drive in Cape Girardeau.

• New Southeast Missouri State University president Brad Hodson will speak at another Cape Girardeau chamber event, the First Friday Coffee from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, at the Century Casino Cape Girardeau Event Center, 777 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau.
