In 1996, the Hong Kong government decided to set a regulation on dry cleaning machines, which brought the industry together to discuss the detailed rules and regulations with the government. The Hong Kong laundry association was formally established as a non-profit organization in the same year. Thanks to the support of its trade partners and the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance, the Hong Kong laundry association has been able to thrive in the community.
