Cornwall Chamber of Commerce CEO John Brown shortlisted

John Brown is in the running for the President’s Award at the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Awards 2025, recognising his “outstanding contribution” to the Chamber and the wider business community.

The BCC Awards celebrate strength, innovation, and impact, and the President’s Award acknowledges leaders who “serve with dedication and inspire those around them.”

Mr Brown will compete against CEOs from various regions, including South Yorkshire, the East Midlands, Dubai, and Korea.

His shortlisting for the award coincides with his first anniversary as head of the Cornwall Chamber.

In this role, he has been credited with making life “better for Cornish businesses” by connecting them with insights, opportunities, and a supportive community.

The winners of the BCC Awards will be announced at a Centre of Excellence Gala Dinner on October 15.

The BCC Awards are a significant event in the business calendar, celebrating the work that supports businesses and strengthens the wider Chamber community.

They acknowledge the work of Chambers and individuals within the BCC network that drive local economies and support businesses.
