ABOUT The ACCIP

The American Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Panama (AmCham) was created on October 31, 1979, by a group of professionals who felt that the organization could be an important voice in the promotion of trade in Panama. AmCham’s membership has grown from 68 companies in its first year, to more than 450 member companies currently representing more than 15 industrial and commercial sectors of the Panamanian economy.

Since its inception, the Chamber has offered its member companies conferences, forums and seminars on a variety of topics of national importance. In 2008, he established the first “Recognition of the Good Corporate Citizen” with the objective of promoting responsible practices of doing business among his membership.

AmCham is a nonprofit, apolitical, and independent association that promotes free enterprise. It is affiliated with the United States Chamber of Commerce and the Association of American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA).
