The association dealing with securities businesses was first established in 1973 under the name of “Thai Finance and Underwriting Association” was subsequently revised and changed the name of the association to “Thai Finance and Securities Association” in 1976. After that, in 1981, some members asked to resign to establish a trade association that has a specific type of securities business. By name “Association of Stock Exchange Members” in 1992, when the Securities and Exchange Act 1992 was enacted for the supervision and development of the country’s capital market.
